Description
This is the baptism of Jesus by his cousin John (aptly named) the Baptist. John liked to eschew societal standards of fashion, diet and behavior and chose instead to blaze his own trail. He was later beheaded for his absolute refusal to stop speaking truth to power thus confirming everyone’s suspicions that Herod truly was a jerk of epic proportions.
